Here I am, back in action. Ready to breathe life into this dream of mine once again. In the next few weeks I will be launching a new Summer line, and out and about promoting. Will keep you posted!! Until then, please say hello to Otto, the sweetest little guy ever. We rescued him from the shelter.
On a side note, I want to announce that I now have a ceramic studio in Brooklyn! The space is awesome and I’m going to be with a great group of artists. This has been a dream of mine for a while and I’m so excited!
I’m going to create a personal blog at http://www.jensessions.com to document the process of setting up my studio and the adventures of being a ceramic artist.
I’m also setting up a blog about DJing, lifestyle and music equipment with my boyfriend at http://www.deepfieldselektors.com.
A little shameless promotion for my other projects! Keeping busy with things you love to do is good

I stumbled upon a really great book for the creative entrepreneur. The Creative Entrepreneur, by Lisa Sonora Beam, is a fantastic book to help create a plan for your business. I love working in my creative journals, but never really thought to outline a plan with my projects. With this book, Sonora Beam has created an effective blueprint for creating intentional journals. In turn, I create a road map to get what I want out of my business endeavors, but with a creative edge.

I had a blast making these first few pages, and really got my creative problem solving juices flowing. If you ever hit a wall with your business, I encourage you to check this book out.

Thank you to everyone who has written in sending their best to my boyfriend. So far he is responding really well to treatment, and is about halfway through chemo. He will then begin radiation therapy.
We have been taking an East meets West approach to his healing, and so far I think it’s making a difference.
Will keep you posted…
Well, I’m home today nursing a nasty cold, and resting. But I’m really happy for the opportunity to listen to the broadcast of Peggy McColl and Warren Whitlock on Hay House radio. The topic is making money with social media, and it’s right up my alley. It’s fascinating how viral marketing and online media is transforming how we promote and network for business.
I love that Warren is talking about what I consider the missing ingredient in any dream….ACTION! I am so guilty of this. I love being a muse and coming up with ideas, but there has to be action in order to make things happen!!
As someone who initially started on Friendster, moved on to Myspace and now Facebook. I love being able to connect with friends and inspiring mentors in one place. Seeing what everyone is up to, and sharing what I’m up to keeps the momentum going. It even creates an accountability for me in my projects. I love that there are so many people out there following who can provide valuable insight and direction.
So I’m game. Let’s start a revolution!!

This is the beginning. This is it! I am taking the first steps to starting an line of apparel and other items that will spread affirmations around the world. At the same time, I also got inspired to create an apparel line for Girl DJ’s.
I first started by doing lots of web testing. I created a series of ads for each line, and tested them for about two weeks. The affirmation line had a lot of interest. This will be the line I focus on first, as I also have a ton of designs I have created for each affirmation.
My dream is that this eventually gives me the freedom to design full-time, and also help others do the same!
